Design Challenge
The brief for the Soho House Brighton project required a finish that could withstand the wear and tear of high-traffic areas while contributing to the club’s laid-back but elegant design.
The challenge was to find a finish that offered both luxury and practicality without compromising on the visual impact of the space.
Finishes Specification
For this project, Viero UK’s Veneto Venetian plaster finish was specified for various areas, including the bar and break-out spaces. The Veneto finish was chosen in a matt application with bespoke colours specified by Soho House designers, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The product’s luxurious texture brings depth and interest to the walls, with delicate movements and tonal variations that add a sense of elegance and sophistication to each space.
Veneto, being a durable and high-quality finish, is perfect for high-traffic areas such as those found in a lively social space like Soho House Brighton. Its matt finish offers a modern, tactile surface that complements the design’s aesthetic and functionality.
Installation Process
Our skilled craftsmen at Viero UK worked closely with the design team to ensure the Veneto Venetian plaster was applied seamlessly across multiple areas of the property.
The installation process involved carefully mixing the plaster to achieve the desired consistency and applying it in multiple layers to achieve the perfect finish.
Given the high-end nature of the venue, great care was taken to ensure the surface was smooth, with precise application to bring out the best of the material’s nuances.
Our team also ensured the finish was durable, which is crucial in commercial spaces where longevity and performance are as important as aesthetics.
