Telling the neighbourhood story
Our client set a design brief to use Viero UK's range of Venetian polished plasters to bring the neighborhood’s story to life within this central London hotel. The selected Venetian plaster finishes were chosen not only for their durability but also for their ability to enhance natural light, creating a reflective, glimmering effect that adds depth and warmth.
Over several months, our skilled team of applicators meticulously applied these Venetian plaster finishes, which hotel staff described as ‘warm and welcoming’—perfectly suited for elevating guest experiences in this luxurious setting.
Bathroom inspiration
The project also featured our specialist decorative plaster in all of the en suites in the hotel.
Marmorin Hydro is a lime-based venetian plaster which is particularly suited for use in damp and humid areas. It effectively protects surfaces from damage caused by humidity and splashes of water.
Hotel Marketing Manager Aria Gianquitto said: "The feedback from management at the hotel has been extremely positive. People like the fact it's not the kind of thing you usually see.
It is fantastic to have a break from tiled bathrooms and all the colours used are so warm and welcoming for our guests."
Our vision was to reflect the distressed walls of old local theatres and to bring some depth to the wall finishes throughout the building. We were interested to explore possibilities of Venetian plaster to reflect the historic patina of a theatre.
We are very pleased with the result which is elegant and refined. It is a very rich finish which can tell a story through the different layers of the application.
